Anyone entering the new wine bar at the Heitlinger Winery is bound to pause for a moment – and that’s no coincidence. Taking pride of place in the centre of the room is a walk-in wine climate cabinet housing over 1,200 bottles, which not only stores the wine but also invites guests to explore, linger and talk about wine. The wine list features 157 entries, 42 of which are available by the glass – a selection that includes not only the estates’ own wines but also carefully chosen bottles from fellow winemakers. Xi Wine Systems was commissioned to create this extraordinary wine display, demonstrating what is possible when storage, presentation and interior design are conceived as a unified whole.
